Gerald E. Kramer

Gerald E. Kramer, 97, of Huntington, IN, died Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, at 5:02 p.m. at Tipton Place.

Mr. Kramer graduated from Huntington High School and served in the United States Army from 1941 to 1944. He worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps in Bluffton. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shrine Club, both in Huntington, and a member of the First United Church of Christ. He spent winters in Leesburg, FL, for 20 years.

He was born Nov. 9, 1917, in Huntington to Henry and Martha Moore Kramer. He married Thais Coble on Oct. 1, 1947, in Huntington, and she survives.

Additional survivors include a son, Jim (Betty) Kramer, of Huntington; a sister, Marjorie McDaniel, of Warsaw; and two grandchildren, Parker Kramer and Riley Kramer, both of Huntington.

Calling is Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, in Huntington. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, at 11 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Robert Hamilton will officiate. Interment will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
