Paul Nine

Paul Nine, 84, of Huntington, IN, and formerly of Roanoke, IN, passed away Wednesday April 1, 2015, at 4 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Nine served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and worked at Magnavox in Fort Wayne for 43 years, retiring in 1992. He was a life member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Roanoke and member of Roanoke American Legion Post 160.

He was born Nov. 27, 1930, in Sims, the son of Earnest and Ida Mae Pettit Nine. He married Jeanette Topp on Feb. 12, 1954, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Roanoke. His wife survives in Huntington.

Other survivors include three sons, Daniel Nine and Jack (Jamie) Nine, both of Huntington, and Rick (Sandy) Nine, of Roanoke; two daughters, Jill (John) Truitt, of Fort Wayne, and Lisa (Tommy) Harrell, of Huntington; a sister, Laura (Harold) Monnot, of Peru; two brothers, John (Delores) Nine, of Roanoke, and Ernest (Judy) Nine, of Columbia City; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Calling is Monday, April 6, 2015, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2:30 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Roanoke. Rev. Dale Bauman will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Roanoke, with Roanoke American Legion Post 160 providing graveside military honors.
