Ruth F. Leffler

Ruth F. Leffler, 72, of Roanoke, IN, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, at 11:44 a.m. at her home.

Mrs. Leffler graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1960 and attended St. Francis College and International Business College. She worked in admitting at Parkview Hospital for 23 years and worked in the cafeteria at Huntington North High School for several years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was involved in the Rosary Sodality and Arise Bible study. Her volunteer activities included driving veterans to appointments.

She was born July 27, 1942, in Fort Wayne to Timothy Sr. and Helen Ryan Leffler.

Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth “Libby” (Brian) Ausban, of Roanoke; two brothers, Timothy Leffler Jr., of Roanoke, and Eddie (Michele) Leffler, of Fort Wayne; and a granddaughter, Kathryn Breann Ausban, of Roanoke.

Calling is Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a rosary service at 4 p.m., at Roanoke Memorial Chapel of Deal-Rice Funeral Homes, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at 9 a.m., with calling one hour prior to Mass, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Roanoke. Rev. Dale Bauman will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, in Roanoke.
