Meredith M. Gray, 86, of rural Albion, IN, and a former resident of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.
Mrs. Gray attended Crawfordsville High School. She had lived in Crawfordsville, Huntington, Big Lake, rural Columbia City, Baugher Lake and Little Barbee before moving to her current home 18 years ago. She was a homemaker and a former president of the Eagles Auxiliary in Huntington.
She was born Oct. 30, 1927, in Crawfordsville to Burchard and Dorothy Conkright Zachary. She married Billy F. Gray Sr. on Dec. 13, 1947, and he survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Billy F. (Connie) Gray Jr., of Columbia City, and Gary D. (Rose) Gray, of Albion; two sisters, Penny Jo Middleton, of Lafayette, and Sue Gardner, of Pierceton; a brother, Doc Zachary, of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
No service is planned. Burial was at Thorn Cemetery, Ormas.
Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City, was in charge of arrangements.
