Dorothy J. 'Dot' Stocksdale

Dorothy Jean "Dot" Stocksdale, 88, of Bozeman, MT, and a former resident of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, June 28, 2014, at her home.
Mrs. Stocksdale graduated in 1944 from Huntington High School. She had lived in Cincinnati, OH, and in Indianapolis, where she volunteered for the Boys Club of America, before moving to Bozeman, MT, in 1970. She and her husband operated D&R Music and Vending, an amusement machine operation serving restaurants and resorts.
She was born Jan. 30, 1926, in Huntington to Ernest and Sylvia Thatcher Lantis. She married John Philip Stocksdale on June 22, 1947, and he preceded her in death in August 2013.
Survivors include two sons, John Jr. (Karen) Stocksdale, of Santa Rosa, CA, and Chuck (Toni) Stocksdale, of Zionsville; a daughter, Teresa (Scott) LeProwse, of Bozeman, MT; two sisters, Virginia (Guthier) Wampler, of Fort Wayne, and Jannette (Hartman) Caley, of Brewster, MA; six grandchildren, Logan, Lauren, Chuck, Samantha, Kelly and Megan; and a great-grandchild.
Cremation has taken place. The family will hold a private graveside service at a later date.
