Virginia R. Poehler, 89, of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at her home after a long battle with cancer.
Ms. Poehler worked as a telephone operator for more than 30 years with Indiana Bell. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Huntington. She was active in the choir, quilting circle and Ladies Guild.
She was born March 18, 1925, in Huntington to John and Rose Kepler Poehler.
Calling is Wednesday, July 2, 2014, from 10 a.m. to noon at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 648 N. LaFontaine St., Huntington. A funeral service will be held at noon at the church, with Rev. Tim Anderson officiating. Interment will be at the St. Paul's County Line Cemetery in Huntington County.
Memorial donations may be made to Lutheran Hour Ministries or a charity of the donor's choice in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, IN 46750.
