Norma J. Barker, 76, of Upland, IN, and having family members in Warren, IN, died Tuesday afternoon, June 24, 2014, at her home.
Mrs. Barker had been employed in the kitchen at Ivanhoe's Drive-In, Upland, and formerly attended the First Community Church, in Matthews. She graduated from Roll High School in 1955.
She was born Aug. 10, 1937, in Milo to Harley and Josephine Rinehart Bole. Her mother survives in Warren. She married Jim Barker on Oct 23, 1955, in Jonesboro, and he survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Garry (Lynda) Barker, of Upland; a brother, Don (Sharon) Bole, of Hartford City; two grandchildren, Ryan and Kayla; and a great-grandson.
Calling is Sunday, June 29, 2014, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Jones-Smith Funeral Home, 259 N. Main St., Upland. A service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, June 30, 2014, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Clyde Ewbank officiating. Interment will be at Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, in Marion.
