Elizabeth M. Mallock, 93, a resident of Norwood Health and Rehabilitation, in Huntington, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at 8:50 a.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Mrs. Mallock, a former resident of South Whitley, owned and operated the Beauty Nook for 26 years. She was employed by D&C Construction for 16 years, retiring in 1985. She attended Laketon High School.
She was born May 31, 1921, in Laketon to James Esta and Golda Rutledge Price. She married Rodney N. Mallock on May 27, 1949, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 2004.
Survivors include two sons, Dean (Carol) Abbott, of North Manchester, and Carl (Rachel) Abbott, of South Whitley; a daughter, Glenda (Richard) Armstrong, of Fort Wayne; a stepdaughter, Jane Mason, of Elkhart; three brothers, Edward R. Price and Rex E. Price, both of Wabash, and Lon G. Price, of Hobart; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 12 stepgreat-grandchildren.
A service was held on Friday, June 27, 2014, at Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley. Burial was at the South Whitley Cemetery.
