Daniel Louis DeWald, 53, of Lafayette, IN, and a former resident of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, June 15, 2014.
Mr. DeWald graduated from Huntington North High School in 1979 and attended Saint Joseph's College. He began working at United Parcel Services in 1984 and most recently served as pre-load supervisor at UPS in Lafayette. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Lafayette.
He was born in Fort Wayne to Edwin and Harriet DeWald, who survive in Greeneville, TN.
Additional survivors include three brothers, Edwin (Rachel) DeWald Jr., of Fishers, and Thomas DeWald Sr. and Mike (Jennifer) DeWald, both of Greeneville, TN; a sister, Ellen (Darryl) Schultz, of Chesterton; and his caregiver, Trula DeWald, of Lafayette.
Calling is Wednesday, June 18, 2014, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., with a service following at 3 p.m., at Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette. Rev. Joshua T. Bennett will officiate.
