Michael Christian Keener, 22, of Warsaw, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 4:40 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
A lifelong resident of Warsaw, Mr. Keener was a 2010 graduate of Warsaw High School. He was involved with the school's art club and won numerous art awards.
He was born Sept. 11, 1991, in Columbia City. He is survived by his mother, Kristine Wood Keener, of Warsaw, and his father, Chris Keener, of Pierceton.
He is also survived by two sisters, Dusty Keener, of Claypool, and Kimberly Keener, of Huntington; and his maternal grandmother, Fern Wood, of Warsaw.
A service was held on Monday, June 16, 2014, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Rev. Richard Niles officiating. Burial was at South Whitley Cemetery, in South Whitley.
