Robert "Andy" Meese, 57, of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 12:11 p.m. at his home.
Mr. Meese graduated in 1976 from Huntington North High School and served in the United States Army. He worked in the family business, Sun Control, for 15 years; at Centennial Wireless for 10 years; and in sales for Kelly Automotive. He served as a coach and a volunteer with several youth sports leagues in Huntington for many years. He attended The Awakening Community Church, in Huntington.
He was born Feb. 5, 1957, in Huntington to Robert and Thalia "Tate" Houston Meese.
Survivors include a son, Nathan Meese, of Fort Wayne; a sister, Debra (George) George, of Shaker Heights, OH; and two brothers, Ward (Carol) Meese, of Marion, and Bill (Sheila) Meese, of Huntington.
Calling is Sunday, June 15, 2014, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, June 16, 2014, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Jeff Carrell officiating. Interment will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Huntington University men's and women's basketball teams in care of Myers Funeral Home.
