Jack W. Weesner

Jack W. Weesner, 84, of Wabash, IN and formerly of Lagro, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at 9:30 a.m. at Wellbrooke of Wabash.

Mr. Weesner was a 1948 graduate of Linlawn High School in Wabash County. He was a chief warrant officer in the United States Navy. He served during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts, retiring in 1972. He also worked at CMI in Wabash, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Lagro American Legion.

He was born March 3, 1930, in Wabash to Jones A. and Mildred F. Koons Weesner. He married Betty Clark in Salem on May 1, 1954. She preceded him in death on April 10, 2011.

Survivors include four daughters, Linda (David) Garner of Manassas, VA, and Nancy (Bob) Corn, Sherri (Kelly) Schnepp and Sally (Bud) Winters, all of Lagro; a sister, Becky Lavengood, of Kokomo; eight grandchildren, Chris (Amy) Garner, of Norfolk, VA; Nicholas (Kazumi) Garner, of Sunnyvale, CA; Ty Corn, of Kokomo; Jack Corn, of Wabash; Sarah (Alex) Trcka, of Bloomington; Derrick (Olivia) Winters, of McCordsville; Cameron (Ali) Winters, of St. Marys, GA; and Holly Winters, of Lagro; and nine great-grandchildren.

Calling is Friday, March 21, 2014, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. David Lehman will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.
