Wilma J. Crippen

Wilma J. Crippen, 83, of Wolcottville, IN, and a former resident of Bippus, IN, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at 10:55 a.m. at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Crippen had worked as a cook at Northwest Elementary School and for the Millers. She later worked at Hunckler Products. She was a member of Calvary Women's U.A.W.

She was born Jan. 6, 1930, in Columbus to Arvil and Katherine Painter McKim. She married Dean Crippen, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Don Hadley, of Kendallville; a son-in-law, Steve Rittenhouse, of Andrews; three sisters, Doris Wolter, Shirley Thayer and Juanita Harden; five grandchildren, Craig (Craig) Rittenhouse, Sherry (Paul) Voigt, Jennifer (Andy) Arivett, Travis (Holly) Rittenhouse and Stephani (Norm) Stanley; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at 11 a.m. Rev. Barry Faucett will officiate. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery, in Bippus.
