Ned Yordy, 72, of Roanoke, IN, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Visiting Nurse Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
He was born July 14, 1941, in Wabash to Paul and Artista Baker Yordy. He married Mary L. Montague on Aug. 14, 1970, in Huntington. She preceded him in death on Oct. 9, 2001.
Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Yordy, of Roanoke; two sons, Todd Yordy, of Fort Wayne, and Chad Yordy, of Boston, MA; a sister, Nancy Beard, of Bippus; and four grandchildren.
Calling is Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a memorial service following at 6 p.m., at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. Rev. Richard Bunnell will officiate. Interment will be at a later date at Beech Grove Cemetery, Huntington County.
