James C. 'Jim' Daniels

James C. "Jim" Daniels, 64, of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at 5:38 a.m. at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
Mr. Daniels graduated from Prestonsburg (KY) High School in 1967. He retired in 1996 from the Majestic Company, where he was employed as a tool and die maker. He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 204, in Huntington.
He was born July 15, 1949, in Floyd County, KY, to Rev. Walter Scott and Rosina Likens Daniels. He married Mary Etta Sands Handy on Oct. 6, 1984, in Huntington. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include four sons, Scott (Dawn) Daniels, of Huntington; Matt (Keli) Handy, of Indianapolis; Mark (Ben Moore) Handy, of Fort Wayne; and Mike Handy, stationed in Seoul, South Korea; a daughter, Christy (Tim) Suman, of Wabash; two brothers, Rev. Paul Daniels, of Rittman, OH, and Kenneth (Jean) Daniels, of Little Pony, KY; four sisters, Naomi Daniels, of Rittman, OH; Willa Johnson, of Hi Hat, KY; Linda (Stoney) Ormsby, of Waverly, TX; and Chris Orbin, of Belleveue, MI; and seven grandchildren, Justin (Danielle) Daniels, of Fort Wayne; Kayleigh Daniels, of Huntington; Zack Suman and Jade Suman, both of Wabash; Sam Handy and Lily Handy, both of Indianapolis; and Ethan Handy, of Florida.
Calling is Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a service following at 6 p.m., at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. Rev. Jim Hippensteel will officiate. Private burial will be at a later date.
