Donald D. Bushee

Donald D. Bushee, 90, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at his home.

Mr. Bushee retired as a foreman from Schacht Rubber Company. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and Moose Lodge 837, both in Huntington, and American Legion Post 111, in Bluffton. He served in the United States Army during World War II.

He was born June 6, 1923, in Ossian to Harley Andrew and Dosha Letha Webster Bushee. He married Mary Louise Reust on Nov. 5, 1947, and she survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, Robert Eugene (Debra) Bushee, of Hugoton, KS, and Michael Joseph (Deanne) Bushee, of Huntington; two daughters, Linda Kay (Kevin) Goodnight, of Huntington, and Joyce Elaine (Greg) Benjock, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; a sister, Peggy Darlene McKeeman, of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Calling is Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 6 p.m., at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. The Moose Lodge will conduct a service at 7 p.m. on Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry St., Huntington. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington.
