Carl L. Golden

Carl L. Golden, of Markle, IN, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Mr. Golden was a graduate of Sarasota High School. He served in the United States Navy for 10 years. He was a life member of the VFW Post 6671 and was a member of the Zanesville United Methodist Church.

He was born May, 13, 1940, in Huntington, to Claude and Zelma Hoover Golden. He married Lois Fritz on Nov. 25, 1967, at the Zanesville United Methodist Church, and she survives.

Additional survivors include a son, David (Kathy) Golden, of Zanesville; a daughter, Vicky Torson, of Ossian; three sisters, Donna McDonald, of Chicago, Carolyn (Howard) Gilliam, of Fort Wayne and Linda Golden, of Tucson, AZ; and five grandchildren, Colyn Torson, Caleb Torson, Conner Torson, Luke Golden and Mark Golden.

Calling is Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a service following at 1 p.m., at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. Interment will be at the Hoverstock Cemetery.
