John F. Clouse, M.D.

John F. Clouse, M.D., 77, of Muncie, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Wednesday evening, Sept. 11, 2013, at A.M.G. Specialty Hospital, Muncie.

Dr. Clouse graduated from Warren High School in 1954, earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Ball State University and graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine. He worked in private practice in Richmond and was a physician at the Ball State University Health Center for 27 years. He also traveled with the Ball Sate basketball and football teams as their team physician.

Dr. Clouse served in the United States Air Force R.O.T.C. He was a member of the Yorktown United Methodist Church, the American Medical Association and the Cardinal Varsity Club.

He was born Aug. 13, 1936, in Marion to John P. and Martha Jane Breedlove Clouse. He married Evelyn D. Laymon on June 1, 1957, in Warren. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Stacia (Michael) Wyatt, of Knightstown; a son, Steven J. Clouse, of Portland, OR; a sister, Jill (Gerald) Clark, of State College, PA; his mother-in-law, Helen Laymon, of Huntington; and three grandchildren, Kraig Gebhardt, Joey Wyatt and Matthew Clouse.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, Sept.15, 2013, at the Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Mt. Pleasant Chapel, Muncie, with Rev. Tim Stigers officiating.
