Velma L. Willour

Velma L. Willour, 95, of Huntington, IN, died early Saturday morning, Aug. 17, 2013, at her residence.

Mrs. Willour was a 1936 graduate of Union Township High school and attended the Nazarene Church. She had worked at Caswell-Runyan and then at Wabash Magnetics for over 30 years, retiring in the early 1980s.

She was born Feb. 21, 1918, in Huntington County to Ernest J. and Virginia Fluke Reed. She married Walter H. Willour on May 20, 1936, in Markle. He preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 2003.

Survivors include two sons, Larry W. Willour, of Convoy, OH, and Jerry E. Willour, of Huntington; two daughters, Ann (Larry) Bowers and Rhonda (Fred) Crago, both of Huntington; a brother, Morris Reed, of Huntington; 12 grandchildren, including her primary caregiver, Michelle Mann; 25 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Callinlg is Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Samuel Carns officiating. Interment will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in rural Huntington County.
