Richard 'Mark' Janney

Richard "Mark" Janney, 60, of Gaston, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Friday, June 21, 2013, of injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash in Huntington County.

Mr. Janney was a 1972 graduate of Wes-Del High School. He retired from Warner Gear and was employed as an engineer consultant for Magna Power Train.

He was born May 18, 1953, in Muncie to Paul and Rosemary Garriott Janney. He married Susan Bixby, who survives.

Additional survivors include three sons, Kerry (Lisa) Janney, Bradley Gilliom and Paul Janney, all of Muncie; a daughter, Jessica Gilliom, of Yorktown; three sisters, Judy (Harold) New, of Gaston; Kim (Bob) Hardacre, of Huntington; and Michelle (Donald) House, of Kokomo; a half-sister, Connie, of Florida; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Maureen and Martin Bixby; and three grandchildren, Luke Sullivan, Ava Sullivan and Daniel Gilliom.

Calling is Wednesday, June 26, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Gant Funeral Home, Gaston Chapel, 109 W. Elm St., Gaston. A service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at 1 p.m., at the funeral home, with calling one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Thompson Cemetery, near Gaston.
