Betty J. Higgley, 86, of Lander, WY, and formerly of Huntington, IN, died Monday, March 25, 2013, at Westward Heights Care Center in Lander.
Mrs. Higgley was a graduate of Rockcreek High School. She was a homemaker. She also had various factory jobs over the years. In 1982 she moved to Wyoming and worked as a senior companion/caregiver as well as a foster grandparent at Arapahoe School.
She was born July 17, 1926, in Huntington County to Chris and Pearl Tryon Wall. She married Robert E. Higgley on Dec. 24, 1960. He preceded her in death in 1976.
Survivors include three daughters, Christina (Jerome) Martin, of Wabash; Melody (Gene) Tromburg, of Custer, SD; and Bobbi (Brad) Gibb, of Riverton, WY; two grandchildren, Jacob (Bethany) Jarrett, of Rapid City, SD; and Alexis Martin, of Kokomo; and a great grandson.
Calling is Monday, April 1, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, where private family services will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2013.
Interment will be at the Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Wabash.
