Donna M. Kersey

Donna M. Kersey, 77, of Kirby, AR, and having family members in Huntington County, IN, died Monday, March 11, 2013.

Mrs. Kersey graduated in 1953 from Rock Creek High School, where she was a cheerleader. She was a homemaker and had served as a foster parent from 1967 to 2001. She was a member of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.

She was born April 16, 1935, in Bluffton to Glenn Collin and Goldie Mae Hoover Sparks. She married Kirby Kersey on May 10, 1953, and he survives.

Additional survivors include three daughters, Sharon (Dan) Sparks, of Markle; Suzan (Ed) High, of Huntington; and Sandra Kersey, of Fort Wayne; two sons, David (Becky) Kersey, of Huntington, and Bobby (Gina) Kersey, of Wabash; three brothers, Alvin Sparks, of Greenwood; Ron Sparks, of Florida; and Claude Sparks, of Fort Wayne; 15 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Friday, March 15, 2013, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, AR. A service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at 10 a.m., with Brother Bobby Golden officiating. Interment will be at the Ebenezer Cemetery.
