Charles K. Bowman

Charles K. Bowman, 86, of LaFontaine, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at 3:30 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Bowman graduated from LaFontaine High School in 1944. He was a lifelong farmer and was president of Bowman Agri Corp in LaFontaine. He was a member of The Chapel of Fort Wayne.

He was born April 29, 1926, in Wabash County to Walter and Frances Spring Bowman. He married Norma Jean Wendel on Jan. 27, 1950, and she survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Diane Curless, of Houston, TX, and Joy (Kenneth) Parson, of LaFontaine; three sons, Dan (Georgann) Bowman and Kevin (Kymber) Bowman, both of LaFontaine, and Kerry (Melissa) Bowman, of Indianapolis; two sisters, Jeanette Fisher, of Huntington, and Miriam (Richard) Wright, of Scottsdale, FL; and 18 grandchildren, Jennifer Curless, Brandon Curless, Trisha Curless, Rob Curless, Danielle Shaw, Laura Langebartels, Lindsay Bowman, Michael Bowman, Amber Bowman, Kyle Bowman, Evan Bowman, Amy Bowman, Ryan Bowman, Zac Bowman, Levi Bowman, Grace Bowman, Aaron Parson and Ashley Parson.

Calling is Friday, March 8, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 S. Main St., LaFontaine. A service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
