Jacqualyn J. 'Jackie' Dimond

Jacqualyn J. "Jackie" Dimond, 82, of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Dimond was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Huntington, where she served as a Sunday school teacher. She was a cook at St. Peter Lutheran School for many years and was employed by Magnetek in Huntington for more than 18 years. She graduated from Huntington High School.

She was born Feb. 15, 1931, in Huntington to Alva and Florence Caley Shipley. She married Januarius P. "Jan" Dimond on Aug. 30, 1953, in Huntington. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2008.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Morris and Marcea Dimond, both of Huntington; Paul (Beth) Dimond, of Markle, and Dave Dimond and Mark (Deb) Dimond, both of Huntington; a brother, Robert J. (Judy) Young, of Northwood, OH; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Calling is Sunday, March 3, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A service will be held at the mortuary on Monday, March 4, 2013, at 10 a.m. Rev. Dr. Richard Lofgren will officiate. Burial will be at St. Peter's First Community Cemetery, Huntington.

Memorial gifts may be made to St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association, both in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary.
