Charles 'Neal' Bordner

Charles "Neal" Bordner, 77, of Fort Wayne, and having family members in Huntington, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at his home.

Mr. Bordner owned Bordner Automotive for 37 years, retiring in 2000. He was a past president of the Automotive Maintenance Association's Fort Wayne chapter, a member of the Baer Field Raceway Hall of Fame and a member of the Rock 'n' Roll Rods Car Club.

He was born in Fort Wayne to Andrew and Edna Bordner. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marcella Shady Bordner.

Additional survivors include two sons, Mark Bordner, of Raleigh, NC, and Steve Bordner, of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Laura (Jeff) Bordner Adams, of Richmond, VA; a sister, Patricia Ulrich, of Huntington; a brother, Dean (Jeanne) Bordner, of Fort Wayne; mother-in-law, Gaynell Shady; and two grandsons, Stephen Bordner and Andrew "Drew" Bordner.

Calling is Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at 11 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Chaplain Karen Kosberg will officiate. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
