Sister Mary Karl, OLVM

Sister Mary Karl, OLVM, 106, a resident of Victory Noll, in Huntington, IN, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at the Holy Family Health Care Center, Victory Noll.

She entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on Feb. 7, 1933, and made her first vows on March 25, 1936. After serving in missions in California, Texas and Indiana, she returned to Victory Noll in 1979. At Victory Noll, she served as the contact for the Associate Catechists of Mary and was a volunteer.

She was born Nov. 5, 1906, in Peoria, IL, to Gustave Karl and Elizabeth Carroll.

A vigil service will be held on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at 7 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Victory Noll Chapel, 1900 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., with calling one hour prior to Mass, at the Victory Noll Chapel. Rev. Thomas Fahey will officiate. Burial will be at Victory Noll Cemetery.
