Robert 'Bob' Sprinkle

Robert "Bob" Sprinkle, 84, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at 10:10 a.m. at Miller's Merry Manor, Huntington.

Mr. Sprinkle retired in 1987 as lead foreman for Conrail, where he had worked for 35 years. He previously worked for the Erie Lackawanna Railroad. He attended the Roanoke Baptist Church and was a 1948 graduate of Clear Creek High School.

He was born Nov. 10, 1928, in Huntington to John and Catherine Cecil Sprinkle. He married Barbara E. Zezula on May 12, 1951, in Huntington, and she survives.

Additional survivors include four sons, Robert (Lucinda) Sprinkle Jr., Steven M. (Jackie) Sprinkle and John R. (Linda) Sprinkle, all of Fort Wayne, and Thomas E. (Brenda) Sprinkle, of Huntington; four daughters, Mary Ellen Sprinkle, of Huntington; Diana G. (Jerry) Hiday, of Bluffton; Susan J. (Wesley) Degenkolb, of Warsaw; and Jean Ann (Brian) North, of Roanoke; a sister, Dorothy Rasmussen, of Olympia, WA; 18 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

There are no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington County, with Russell Buzzard officiating.
