John B. Palmer Jr.

John B. Palmer Jr., 91, of Fort Wayne, IN, and having family members in Andrews, IN, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012.

Mr. Palmer served in the United States Army and earned degrees in law and accounting from the University of Notre Dame. He had been employed by Central Soya for 28 years, retiring in 1982.

He was the son of John B. and Louise Lochert Palmer. He married Dorothy A. Lauer, who preceded him in death in 2005.

Survivors include two daughters, Janice A. (Greg) Pac, of Fort Wayne, and Jean M. (Ron) Schug, of Andrews; five sons, Thomas E. (Mary) Palmer, of Brookfield, WI; Robert J. Palmer, of Fort Wayne; John B. (Julie) Palmer III, of Deerfield, IL; James D. (Kathy) Palmer, of Hoschton, GA; and Donald S. (Glenda) Palmer, of Cicero; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Tuesday, Jan, 1, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., with a vigil at 4:30 p.m., at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Rd., Fort Wayne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., with calling one hour prior to Mass, at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, Fort Wayne. Msgr. John Kusmich will officiate. Burial will be at Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
