Marie Hollon

Marie Hollon, 74, of Claypool, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at 2:31 a.m. at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.

Mrs. Hollon had worked for Chamberlain's, in South Whitley; Eaton's, in North Manchester; and Miller's Merry Manor. She was a member of Gilead Baptist Church.

She was born June 3, 1938, in Rochester to Maynard "Hap" and Josephine Hopkins McCloughan. She married Corbitt "Corby" Hollon on Aug. 20, 1971, in Akron. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2008.

Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl (Mark) Brunner, of Warsaw; two sons, Billy Sroufe and Steven Sroufe, of Claypool; two stepsons, James Hollon, of Claypool, and Eugene Hollon, of Fort Wayne; a brother, Oscar (Betty) McCloughan, of Akron; a sister, Charlotte (Elmon) Bays, of Silver Lake; a stepbrother, Dave (Carol) Bucher, of Huntington; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Calling is Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. A service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Thad Stewart officiating. Burial will be at Palestine Cemetery, Palestine.
