Veronica 'Vonnie' Hoover

Veronica "Vonnie" Hoover, 45, of Roanoke, IN, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012.

Mrs. Hoover had worked as an insurance agent for 20 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Roanoke, where she served as a Eucharistic minister. She was also a member of the Forks of the Wabash Chapter of the American Business Women's Association.

She was born in Fort Wayne to Jack and Carole Ocken. Her parents survive in Roanoke.

Additional survivors include a son, A.J. Hoover, of Roanoke; a brother, Jay (Lyn) Ocken, of south Whitley; and a sister, Amy (Andy) Ellet, of Huntington.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Roanoke, with Rev. Dale Bauman officiating. Burial was at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Roanoke.

Memorial gifts may be made to a testamentary trust for A.J. Hoover.
