Mark R. Neal

Mark R. Neal, 59, of rural Marion, IN, and having family members in Warren, IN, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, in the emergency room of Marion General Hospital, Marion.

Mr. Neal owned the Time Out Tavern, in Van Buren, for several years. He was also the owner of All Out DJ and Karaoke. He worked for radio station WCJC in Marion from 1995 to 2004 and was known as "Mark in the Morning."

A 1971 graduate of Marion High School, he had been a member of American Legion Post 10, Amvets Post 5 and the Eagles Lodge, all in Marion. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He was born Feb. 24, 1953, in Newark, OH, to Norma Jean Thompson Neal. He married Laurilyn Jentes on March 25, 2000, in Marion. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include three daughters, Jodi (Jeff) Bryan and Kimberly Clayborn, both of Van Buren, and Stefany (Nick) Johnson, of Marion; a son, Jeremy Clayborn, of Marion; a brother, Jerry (Bonnie) Neal, of Marion; and nine grandchildren, Sean Reece and Trevin Johnson, both of Marion; Alexander Bryan, Dylan Casto, Jaedin Bryan, Christina Casto, Caitlin Casto and Randi Casto, all of Van Buren; and Gabriel Clayborn, of Warren.

Calling is Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Van Buren United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Van Buren. A service will be held at the church on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at 2 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Leon Pomeroy will officiate.
