Walter D. 'Munk' Winget

Walter D. "Munk" Winget, 80, of New Haven, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Parkview Hospital.

Mr. Winget was a driver for Associated Truck for 28 years, retiring in 1990, and had also worked for the park department. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and Teamsters Local 414.

He was born Jan. 5, 1932, in Huntertown to Albert F. and Margaret E. Winget. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Ruth A. Winget.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Terry (Ron) Smith, of Cullman, AL, and Rebecca (Thurman) Pack, of Hartford City; two stepsons, Robert Bultemeyer, of Fort Wayne, and Richard (Kim) Bultemeyer, of New Haven; three grandchildren, Shelby (Eric) Miller, of Huntington; Lydia Bultemeyer, of Glendale, AZ; and Andy Bultemeyer, of New Haven; and a great-granddaughter.

Calling is Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home, Winchester road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd., Fort Wayne. A service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Oct.18, 2012, at 11a.m.

Preferred memorials are gifts to Messiah Lutheran Church, the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
