St. Francis professor to speak

University of St. Francis Professor of Theology Dr. Adam A.J. DeVille will be a featured speaker at an upcoming virtual symposium presented by Harvard University.

DeVille will be among 20 speakers at the symposium on “Faith and Flourishing in the Face of Childhood Sexual Abuse: Strategies for Prevention and Healing,” April 8 to 10.

Dr. DeVille, who is also USF Director of Humanities, teaches courses in psychology and theology.

In 2019, he published the book, “Everything Hidden Shall Be Revealed: Ridding the Church of Abuses of Sex and Power,” and has appeared in media nationally and internationally to discuss the proposals within his book.

His next book, “Married Priests in the Catholic Church,” will be published in April.
