Area students named to their fall ‘20 dean’s lists

Several area students have been named to their respective school’s dean’s lists for the 2020 fall semester. The following information was released about the students and their schools:

Awards for undergraduate students at the University of Saint Francis consist of the new president’s list for students with a semester GPA of 3.9 or higher and the dean’s list for students with a 3.5 to 3.8999 semester GPA.

Another new honor is the graduate honors for master’s and doctoral degree-seeking students with a semester GPA of 3.75 or higher.

Students must earn six or more credit hours in the semester to be eligible for academic honors.

Locally, students recognized are:

Nathaniel Burns, Myrissa Crutchfield, Meriah Harrison, Isabella Kryder, Collin Landrum, Olivia Meyer, Isabelle Nguyen and Leah Stoffel.

The university reports a six percent increase from Fall 2019 in undergraduate students achieving academic honors.

USF students completed the entire fall 2020 semester on campus in accordance with the COVID-19 response plan developed over the summer.

Local Trine students named to fall dean’s list

To earn dean’s list honors at Trine University, students must complete a minimum of 12 hours and have a grade point average of 3.500-3.749.

Area students named to the list include:

• Audrey Bradford of Huntington, majoring in Biology/Pre-Physician Assistant Program 3+2.
• Mackenzi Cannici of Huntington, majoring in health and physical education.
• Brett Kaylor of Huntington, majoring in finance.
• Wade Kingrey of Andrews, majoring in mechanical engineering.
• Daniel Shivley of Huntington, majoring in mechanical engineering.

Dobler  named to chancellor’s list for fall 2020

One area student, Raeann Dobler, of Roanoke, was named to Troy University’s chancellor’s list for the fall semester/term 2 of the 2020-21 academic year.

The chancellor’s list honors full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who earn a grade point average of 4.0.
