Locals support HTPM Jan. 11

January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month.

JJ’s Convenience Stores in Huntington, Decatur, Berne, Peru, and Bunker Hill will be participating. With 152,000 convenience stores located in every community across the United States, convenience stores are helping to lead positive change with respect to the fight against human trafficking today, Monday, Jan. 11, National Human Trafficking Day.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s “Blue Campaign” is encouraging people to wear blue clothing on Jan. 11.

NACS (National Association of Convenience Stores) has partnered with In Our Backyard’s Convenience Stores Against Trafficking (CSAT) since 2018 to amplify the role that convenience stores have to  raise awareness.
