How to submit letters to the editor

The editorial staff of The TAB invites readers to submit letters to the editor on timely issues. To ensure fairness to everyone, we have established the following guidelines:

Mailed and faxed letters must be signed. All submissions, including by e-mail, must include an address and daytime telephone number for verification.

The editor reserves the right to edit letters for length, content and readability. Also, per the editor’s judgment, personal attacks, inflammatory statements and legally objectionable material will not be printed.

Personal attacks against individuals or businesses will not be printed.

The editor must also limit readers to submitting a maximum of two letters per month, regardless of whether previous letters have been published, due to space allotments in each weekly issue.

Please try limit all letters to 500 words or less.

Letters may be hand carried to The TAB office, 1670 Etna Ave., Huntington. They also may be mailed to The TAB, PO Box 391, Huntington, IN 46750. Letters may be faxed to 356-1177.

Letters also may be emailed to tabnewsroom@comcast.net.
