Beta Delta news

The Sigma Phi, Beta Delta Chapter, met for their monthly meeting on Thursday, Oct. 8, discussing the possibility of new members joining the group, results from their drive-through luncheon, as well as correspondence from International Organizer Beth Beckham.

President, Pam Rudy called the meeting to order with 16 ladies repeating the Creed. Ladene Moyer, recording secretary, did roll call and those in attendance answered to “Favorite Fall Decorations.” Moyer also read the minutes from the September Business Meeting.

Victoria Thompson, organizer, stated that she possibly has four ladies interested in joining the chapter, which sparked discussion about when to invite the possible new members. Thompson also read some correspondence from Beth Beckham, the International Organizer.

Finance Chair Carol Irick reported on the “Drive-Thru Luncheon,” where the chapter served 170 people.

Claudia Boxell read the treasurers report and Vice President Kelly Jones stated the bylaw committee needed to meet and go over the bylaws for any changes. Service Secretary/Corresponding Secretary Tara Korporal reported that she sent cards to some members.

Dawn Ellis passed the worksheet for hours and donations made in September.

Correspondence from International President Linda Bullington was read by Rudy and Jan Ramp closed the meeting with prayer.

Others present at the meeting included Sandy Booher, Suzette Gephart, Shelly Melchi, Susan Ralston, Jamie Straley and Betty Yoder.

The next meeting will be held on Election Day, Nov. 3.
