The Frontline Fridays team is serving meals to frontline workers in Huntington and Allen counties with the help of local legislators Sen. Andy Zay, Sen. Travis Holdman and Rep. Dan Leonard.

Frontline Fridays delivered meals for frontline healthcare workers on Friday, May 15, to Huntington locations Parkview Huntington Hospital, Miller’s Merry Manorr, Heritage Pointe of Huntington and Hickory Creek Healthcare, as well as several locations in Allen County.

“As the State of Indiana takes its next steps toward re-opening our economy, these frontline workers, particularly in long term care facilities, are still being exposed to COVID patients and are still dealing with the dangers of this disease,” stated Leonard. “Today is about reminding these frontline heroes that we appreciate all they have done and will do for our community.”

Frontline Fridays Organizer Joel Nagel thanked Leonard, Holdman and Zay as well as the BBB serving Northern Indiana and numerous area restaurants including Huntington County eateries Nick’s Kitchen and Nick’s Country Café.

“Huntington County is coming through these tough times thanks to local healthcare workers who have kept our citizens safe and well,” added Zay.

“Remembering the role that Huntington nurses and other care providers have played so far is important. Saying a special though small thank you is one way to let these frontline workers know that we appreciate all they have done so far and will do in the future.”
