HCCF Dave Reeves Athletic Scholarship goes to McDonald

The Huntington County Community Foundation announces that Meg McDonald of Huntington has been awarded the 2020 Dave Reeves Athletic Scholarship totaling $1,000.

McDonald, a graduating senior from Huntington North, will be attending Huntington University, majoring in biochemistry and a minor in anthropology/
Spanish.

She is the daughter of Lisa and Bradley McDonald.

Her HNHS involvement included National Honor Society, Student Athletic Board and participation in track, cross country and basketball. Her community service included Blessings in a Backpack, Splash on the Wabash, Karing for Kids gift wrapping, freshman mentoring and Huntington Youth Leadership service project. She ranked in the Top 25 of her class and was recognized as a scholar athlete for four years.

Established in 2004 by Marsha Reeves, the Dave Reeves Athletic Scholarship was created “to celebrate Dave’s love for the athletes he worked with over the years and to help a male or female thrower with education costs.”
