HCCSC will continue to monitor situation

Due to the executive order by Gov. Eric Holcomb, HCCSC will be closed until May 1, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Indiana State Department of Health will continue to monitor the situation and work in connection with the Indiana Department of Education.

HCCSC will continue to monitor announcements from agencies to keep its students, staff and families safe.

Learning schedule
HCCSC will continue learning following the schedule:
• March 23 to 27 – remote learning.
• March 30 to April 2 – waiver days.
• April 3 to 10 – spring break.
• April 13 to 17 – waiver days.
• April 20 to 24 – remote learning.
• April 27 to May 1 – remote learning.

Events and activities
HCCSC will continue to observe the cancelation of all extra-curricular, co-curricular, field trips, competitions and other events until further notice.

Grab and Go Meals
HCCSC will continue to keep sites open for Grab and Go Meals until April 2 and re-open April 14 through April 30. All sites are open every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Huntington North High School will also have evening pick up from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Pick up locations are Andrews Elementary, Roanoke Elementary, Salamonie Elementary, Riverview Middle School and HNHS. This schedule is subject to the access and availability of food supplies.

Be aware that these measures are being taken in an abundance of caution to reduce or limit exposure to the virus in the community. Students are encouraged to stay home during this time and continue to follow the healthy hygiene practices that have been laid out to help stop the spread of illness.
