Smith, Reust are winners of AES Wilburn Memorial Scholarships

Andrews Elementary School has announced that Hunter Smith and Madison Reust are the winners of the 2019-20 Jason Harlan and Brandon Wilburn Memorial Scholarships.

Each winner will receive a $500 scholarship.

Reust is the daughter of John and Mindy Reust. She plans to pursue a degree in children’s ministry at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN.

She has been active at Huntington North High School, participating in student council, class council, YFC Core, Campus Life, National Honor Society and was the gymnastics manager.

She has also been active in the community, volunteering at her church, volunteering for YFC and participating in her church youth group.

Reust has also earned the Kiwanis Award for Early Childhood Education and the Chamber of Commerce Award for Early Childhood Education.

Smith is the son of Todd and Sarah Smith. He plans to study animal science at Purdue University and become a veterinarian.

He has been active at Huntington North High School, participating in Freshmen Mentoring Council, class council, National Honor Society and has been in the Top 25 of his class all four years of high school, receiving an Academic Letter Award.

Smith has also been active in the community, volunteering for the Hunt-
ington County Humane Society as well as the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo.

The scholarship is sponsored by the Andrews PTO to recognize students who have previously attended Andrews Elementary to help support them.
