City water billing payment window closed until further notice

The City of Huntington water billing payment window, located on the first floor of the City Building, will be closed until further notice.

Alternate payment methods include:

Online – Go to www.huntington.in.us/city and click the “City Utilities” link. Sign in with your book number, account number and internet PIN, each of which is found on the utility bill. A third-party convenience fee will be charged.

Drop Box – Available around the clock, payments can be dropped off at the Police Department entrance of the City Building. Be sure to include the payment stub portion of the bill. If customers choose to drop off a cash payment at the unattended drop box, the exact change is not required and any overage will be credited to their accounts.

By Mail – Send a check to City Utilities, P.O. Box 5177, Huntington, IN 46750. Be sure to include the payment stub portion of your bill.

Banks – The following financial institutions will continue to accept city utility payments:
• Lake City Bank, 1501 N. Jefferson St.

• First Merchants Bank, 2845 Guilford St.

• Bippus State Bank, 150 Hauenstein Road, and 1303 S. Jefferson St.

• First Federal Bank, 648 N. Jefferson St., 1240 S. Jefferson St. and 100 Frontage Rd.

Automatic Payments: Call the Water Billing office to have an ACH authorization form sent to you, or download it at www.huntington.in.us/egov/documents/1584124887_17529.pdf. Complete the form and send it back with a voided check to set up automatic payments. Allow approximately 15 days for the ACH request to be processed and active on your account.
