Many Hoosier colleges to waive application fees

Fifteen Indiana colleges, including Huntington University, will waive college application fees during Indiana’s College Application Week, Sept. 23 to Sept. 27, according to the Indiana Commission for Higher Education. Another 17 colleges have reported free applications year-round.

In addition, nearly 100 high schools across the state will host College Application Week events to help high school seniors navigate the admissions process — making this Indiana’s biggest College Application celebration since joining the American College Application Campaign in 2013. This is the first year for the free application period to stretch to a full week; it was previously a one-day event.

Other local colleges that have dropped their application fees during the week include Purdue University Fort Wayne and Indiana University Fort Wayne. Area colleges that report free applications year-round include Grace College, Indiana Tech, Indiana Wesleyan University and Manchester University.
