SCORE mentors to present free small business workshop

Expert business mentors from SCORE Northeast Indiana will present a free workshop on July 16 on starting a small business.

The workshop will be held at the Huntington City-Township Public Library from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will feature five SCORE mentors.

Each mentor has many years of business experience ranging from fortune 500 companies to small single proprietorships.

Topics covered in the two-hour workshop will include myths and realities of entrepreneurship, what’s in a business plan, legal business structures, financial tools and how to put it all together.

To register for the workshop, call 422-2601 or email scorefw50@frontier.com along with participants’ names, email address and phone number.

The workshop will educate about SCORE’s ability to help anyone wanting to start a small business. Following the workshop representatives will be available to explain how business mentoring can be provided by SCORE.

Mentors are available to help with a wide variety of business topics and SCORE’s help is free for the asking.
