After a conversation with Capt. Antonia Marak, the staff at Huntington Chiropractic Center decided to provide a boost for the Salvation Army’s food pantry.

The chiropractic office decided to host a “Salvation Army Day” event through the clinic on Thursday, June 20, for existing patients and June 24 through 28 for new patients.
In exchange for chiropractic services provided by the clinic, existing patients will provide a suggested donation in cash or supplies for the Salvation Army food pantry. In addition, everyone participating in the event will automatically be entered into a drawing for a gift card from Owen’s supermarket.

Those who wish to provide items without participating as patients are invited to bring their donations to the clinic at 1504 N. Jefferson St. in Huntington at any time through June 28.

Boxed items needed are macaroni and cheese, cereal, spaghetti noodles, side dishes (rice, pastas, potatoes, etc.) and Hamburger Helper type of meals. Preferred canned goods include fruits, vegetables, beans, spaghetti, sloppy Joes, soup, cream soup, tuna, tomatoes, tomato sauce and tomato paste.

Huntington Chiropractic Center holds several fund-raisers throughout the year in support of various local not-for-profit organizations. This is a way to recognize the community for its partnership as Dr. Stephen Geders celebrates 39 years in chiropractic practice with 29 of those years practicing in Huntington County.
