Williams earns 2019 Robb Henn Scholarship

The Huntington County Community Foundation announces Trey Williams as recipient of the 2019 Rob Henn Athletic Scholarship totaling $4,500. Scholarship awards of $500 were awarded to Mitchell Geller, Patrick Miller, Sarah Fryman and Charles Agnew III.

Williams, a graduating senior from Huntington North High School, will attend Indiana University majoring in accounting and finance. He is the son of Carla and Chad Williams, of Huntington. A member of the National Honor Society, Williams stayed busy during high school participating in varsity baseball, varsity basketball, Operation Impact, Student Athletic Board and Special Olympics. His volunteer activities involved Relay for Life, Blessings in a Backpack, tutoring with National Honor Society, SS. Peter and Paul Church, youth basketball and baseball practices.

Geller, the 2018 recipient, attends Anderson University majoring in biology. He is the son of Lisa and Jeff Geller, of Huntington.

Miller, the 2017 recipient, attends Manchester University majoring in accounting. He is the son of Katherine and William Miller, of Huntington.

Fryman, the 2016 recipient, is a rising senior at Huntington University. She is the daughter of Joyce Fryman, of Huntington and the late Arthur Fryman and is majoring in marketing and minoring in sports management. She is a member of the Huntington University women’s basketball team. Her volunteer activities include New Life Meal Ministry, Blessings in a Backpack and Life Church.

Agnew, also a graduating senior from Huntington North, will attend Ball State University majoring in physical therapy and minoring in business. He is the son of Christine Drumm, of Huntington and Charles Agnew II, of Columbia City. In high school Agnew was involved in mentoring through the Keystone Leadership Program, defensive team captain in football and team captain in wrestling. He was also named the Boys & Girls Club of Huntington County 2019 Youth of the Year. His volunteer activities centered around the Huntington County Wrestling Club and the Boys & Girls Club.

Family and friends who participated in the first annual golf outing in remembrance of Rob Henn established the Rob Henn Athletic Scholarship in 2008. An annual golf outing continues to support this scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to a student athlete from Huntington North who displays “unquestionable character, a high regard for teammates, and due respect for opponents.”
