The Huntington County Community Foundation announces that Andrew Nash, of Huntington, has been awarded the 2019 Dave Reeves Athletic Scholarship totaling $800.

Nash, a graduating senior from Huntington North, will be attending the University of Saint Francis with a double major in physical therapy and exercise science, with a career goal of becoming a physical therapist. He is the son of Susan and Shawn Nash.

His HNHS involvement included National Honor Society, Student Athletic Board, and participation on track, football and basketball. His community service involves refereeing at the Parkview Family YMCA and PAL, coaching for Special Olympics, serving as a youth group leader at church and tutoring at HCCSC.

Established in 2004 by Marsha Reeves, the Dave Reeves Athletic Scholarship was created “to celebrate Dave’s love for the athletes he worked with over the years and to help a male or female thrower with educations costs.”
