Parkview Huntington Family YMCA will host a “launch party” on Saturday, March 16, to introduce a new brand name, “premium group” exercise classes. The party, offering seven free adult classes and four free child classes, begins at 7 a.m. and lasts until noon for ages 14 and up with child classes for ages 6 to 13.

These are classes that are choreographed by fitness companies. YMCA instructors are trained and certified to teach these classes in a certain format, tested and proven successful for fitness and fun.

The four child classes will all be Aqua Stand Up, a new paddle board class in the pool, which involves balance and dancing. Parkview Huntington Family YMCA is the only location in Indiana to offer Aqua Stand Up.

The launch party event is open to both members and non-members. Many of the classes have limited space. Call the YMCA at 359-9622 to reserve a spot in class.

The Body Combat class will be held in the gym area at 9 a.m. and Pound will follow at 10:30 a.m. with unlimited space.

The Parkview Huntington Family YMCA is located at 1160W-500N, Huntington.
