Seek plan commission board member

The Huntington County Commissioners and the Department of Community Development are seeking an individual that may be interested in volunteering to serve on the Huntington County Plan Commission Board.

Applicants must live in the unincorporated area of the county and outside any small-town jurisdiction. They must have once voted in a primary election as a Democrat. The applicants cannot currently be elected or appointed to any office and must reside and own property in the unincorporated area.

The Plan Commission appointment is filling the remainder of the vacancy term which is until the first Monday of 2022. After this date, the terms are reappointed for four years.

Pick up an application in the County Commissioners’ office, Room 103A, at the Huntington County Courthouse, or online at www.huntington.in.us/county. Return the completed application by Feb. 25 at 4 p.m.

Completed applications can be submitted to the County Commissioners’ office, Room 103A on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday or at the DCD Monday through Friday, or can be mailed to the County Commissioners, Room 103A, Huntington County Courthouse, 201 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750.
