Extension says community garden again a success

Purdue Extension Huntington County has announced that this summer’s Helping Hands Community Garden was once again a success, giving out nearly 1,500 pounds of produce to the Huntington community.

The Extension is in need of volunteers to help clean up the garden for winter.

The dates for the cleanup are Saturday, Oct. 13, from 10 a.m. to noon; Monday, Oct. 15, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 20, from 10 a.m. to noon; and Saturday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. to noon.
